Join us in highlighting our incredible customer experience team as we introduce Skye Osborne, our dedicated Director of Customer and Technology Onboarding in Australia.
What is your background and how did you get interested in Implementations?
I have worked in the transcription industry on and off for around 13 years; prior to VIQ I had worked for both Auscript and Spark & Cannon. I also spent a few years in the Aged Care industry focusing on project implementations.
After working in various roles across two industries and seeing how new applications, processes and products were introduced, I became fascinated in how the structure of rollout worked across an entire business which led me to the Product & Strategy / Product Services team.
What are your roles / responsibilities at VIQ?
I am responsible for the delivery of key business projects, identification, recommendations and implementing technologies to improve business process; and analysing data across the global business and make recommendations for best practice and driving cost efficiency.
What do you enjoy most about working at VIQ Solutions?
My Team. I have been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by genuine wizards. They are masters in their own specialties, and they make me excited for the next steps.
Also having exposure to the Global Team and understanding all the ins and outs – they have been extremely patient with this very confused Aussie.
I’m also a problem solver by nature and I thrive on fixing or improving processes and seeing them come to fruition. Working in the project and implementations space with VIQ Solutions provides plenty of opportunities to engage with all teams across the company and work towards best outcomes.
What are you most proud of/most interesting project?
NetScribeTM. I joined the NetScribe journey early 2020 and to think back now on how many improvements and new additions have been developed and made available is overwhelming.
This pivoted the operational focus I was accustomed to and introduced me to both the technical side as well as how the transcripts are produced and the transcriptionist experience.
Achieving some long-term goals for NetScribe over the past few months has been amazing and we are now able to look towards the future with all the improvements to come. Seeing attitudes across the board change from pessimism and reluctance to optimism and engagement has been fantastic.
What are your interests and/or hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy attending film festivals, gigs and hanging with my dog Ralph. I am a pop culture fiend, constantly reading and ingesting as much as I can.
What do you believe sets VIQ apart from others in the industry?
VIQ is always focused on the future and engaged with how technology will keep changing the industry. Being under the hood the last few years has led me to appreciate how forward thinking and committed to both people and technology VIQ is.
What are your goals and aspirations for the future, both in your personal and professional life?
I am currently completing an MBA, which I hope to utilise in the future to focus on business intelligence and strategy. Personally, I want to continue to focus on being the best aunt ever to my niece and pseudo-nephews. I will make them all into film critics yet.
