Getting through a full transcript to find the information you need takes time — time most professionals don’t have. With the latest NetScribe Connect release, that changes.
Summarize Any Transcript in Seconds
NetScribe Connect 5.3.0 introduces Summarization Presets, a new capability that lets you generate concise, targeted summaries from any completed transcript — whether it was produced through FirstDraft® or professional transcription.
Here’s how it works: your organization’s administrator configures up to four preset prompts tailored to how your team actually uses transcripts. Think “Summarize in bullet form,” “Summarize in 300 words or less,” or “Summarize without proper names.” When a transcript is ready, you select the prompt you want, click Get Summary, and the summary appears in seconds.
For teams that need more flexibility, administrators can also enable a custom prompt option. This gives users a free-text field to type specific summarization instructions on the fly — useful when the standard presets don’t quite fit the situation.
Once generated, summaries can be copied directly or downloaded as a Word document.
Why This Matters
Transcript summaries are a workflow accelerator. Attorneys reviewing depositions, investigators parsing interviews, claims adjusters working through recorded statements: all of them need the key points fast. Summarization Presets put that capability directly inside the tool your team already uses, with no extra steps or separate software.
What’s Next
We’re already working on something big. A new streaming transcription and translation capability is in active development and coming soon. Stay tuned for more details.
